Obesity and other pathologies such as diabetes could have their days numbered thanks to the discovery of the effects of a drug that until now was used to counteract asthma and foot-and-mouth ulcers.
According to a study from the Institute of Life Sciences at the University of Michigan, which has been published in the prestigious journal Nature Medicine, the application of the drug amlexanox could contribute to weight loss and the treatment of diabetes.
Obesity due to ineffective diets
