The party is over! Tricks to survive the New Year’s hangover

New Year’s Eve arrives and, with the entry into the New Year, we only want one thing: go out and celebrate. The streets are filled with people looking to have fun, laugh and dance non-stop. What is the problem? That sometimes that fun is accompanied by a few drinks. And those drinks, most of the time, become MANY DRINKS. The result? An amazing hangover the next day!

New Year’s tables are filled with people looking short-slept and complaining of horrible headaches. And it is that surviving the end of the year hangover is sometimes not so easy. If you find yourself in this same situation (which it is very likely that you will experience it at least once in your life), here are a few tricks to get through that day without having too much trouble… Take note!

Tips to cope with the end of the year hangover (and any other hangover)

Hydration

The most important thing is to drink water. Your body needs to hydrate itself, so whatever you can drink to contribute to that will help. Take your bottle of water with you and, for example, instead of coffee, take an infusion. To eat, try a soup. You can also include steamed, boiled or grilled foods. Our recommendation is that you do not take anything that is too aggressive or strong.

Isotonic drinks

In relation to the previous point, you can also help yourself with isotonic drinks to contribute to your correct hydration. They’ll allow you to vary from water and soups, settle your stomach, and give you a good amount of minerals.

Rest

If your body needs to rest, let it sleep as long as it needs. It will be the only way to overcome all the party from the day before. After a good nap I’m sure you’ll feel much better!

Cold shower

Trust in the power of the shower. A good shower with lukewarm water that ends up being a bit cold will help you recover. You can also apply cool water washcloths to your forehead if you feel like your head is about to explode. If you do, you’ll thank us, rest assured!

Juices

Another option to fully recover from your New Year’s hangover is to make a delicious juice of crushed fruits and vegetables. It will replace all the nutrients lost due to alcohol!

The power of massages

Relax by giving yourself a gentle head/face massage (although if you can get someone else to give it to you, all the better). Start at the temple, go through the forehead, head, and nose and let your whole body feel the relaxation little by little.

Do sport

  • It may seem like a contradiction in relation to one of the previous points in which we recommended you sleep and rest. However, New Year’s Day is very long and long, so if you can do both (sleep and exercise), it will be perfect!
  • Go to sleep, take a shower and then go out for a walk. We don’t tell you to run a half marathon, but to give you the air while you take a walk through the park at low or medium speed. This process will accelerate the metabolization of alcohol and, in this way, it will be eliminated faster from your body. Tip: Take a bottle of water for the road! 😉

Face mask

  • With double effect! In addition to being cool, which will relieve the heat on your face and head, the mask will help you eliminate dark circles so that when you look in the mirror you don’t get too scared.
  • The days after the hangover worry about eating a cleansing diet based on vegetables, broths and fruits. Your body will thank you!
  • After following all these tips, we hope your “after-party” will be mild and for next time we leave you two tricks that will work great for you and will avoid that horrible feeling of hangover. The first is not to drink too much, of course. There is no better solution than that! And the second (pay attention!) is to stop for a glass of water every hour. Your body will be hydrated and (we tell you from experience) it really works!
