Although dental implants are more common today, there are still many people who use dentures after losing their teeth for various reasons. The hairpieces can be full or partial. The former cover the entire upper or lower surface, or both, while false teeth can also be used to cover some or a few non-existent parts.
Although it is true that they are no longer common, it is not a stigma to wear dentures either, since the current designs are more natural and the difference is not noticeable at first glance… They also carry more comfortably, adjusting to the mouth and causing whoever wears them to practically forget that their teeth are false.
Denture care
- But just because we forget that we are wearing false teeth does not mean that they are not there, and we have to take care of them as if they were our own teeth. The hairpieces can break and fill with bacteria, so you have to handle them carefully and wash them once a day.
- The first thing to do is rinse the hairpiece well to remove any traces of food that may be there; Immediately afterwards, the teeth must be brushed, using a soft toothbrush and toothpaste or denture cleaner. After brushing, rinse with water and it is ready for a new use… After this, you also have to brush your mouth by brushing your gums, tongue and palate so that you can then put on your dentures.
